The cited DOB is 1935. Some sources published around his death list 1934, but all the other sources I could find say 1935. I reverted an edit that listed the DOB as 1934 without updating the source. If anyone feels that there is an authoritative source for 1934, feel free to edit, but please make sure to include the new citation. — BillHPike (talk, contribs) 00:42, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It would certainly appear that the Billy Brewer who was the head coach of the University of Mississippi is the same person as the Billy Brewer who played one year as a pro with the Washington Redskins in 1960. Both entries played college football at Ole Miss and graduated in 1959, and both men had given names of Homer Ervin Brewer.
