Raised in a shack by a history teacher?
[edit]The subject was raised in a shack without major utilities and his father was a high school history teacher? Can anyone expound this seemingly curious situation, please? — Preceding unsigned comment added by HistoryBuff14 (talk • contribs) 15:45, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
Daughters conviction. Consensus against including.
[edit]Please do not add the daughter's conviction. This has already been discussed and a consensus reached against including. See here. BashBrannigan (talk) 21:33, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
BBT interview should be included
[edit]http://www.chriscomerradio (DOT) com/bb_thornton/thornton9-27-05.htm
This interview should be added to the page, under the "links" section. For some reason (?) it is blacklisted?? It would make a wonderful addition to the page.
CAN ANYONE WHITELIST THIS LINK FOR INCLUSION?

malnutrition is not mentioned as a cause of myocarditis
[edit]malnutrition is not listed as a cause of myocarditis in the wikipedia article on myocarditis.
Thornton may claim or even believe that it was caused by malnutrition, but Wikipedia should be objective. certainly it shouldn't say that myocarditis is caused by malnutrition unless that is an established fact. 15:51, 10 June 2013 (UTC) Michael Christian — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.229.11.14 (talk)
No mention of birth name?
[edit]Would I be wrong to presume that his birth name was William Robert? article on Bill gates starts with "William Henry "Bill" Gates, III....". Billy Ray Cyrus starts with "Billy Ray Cyrus (born William Ray Cyrus...."
A quick google says billy bob claims to be born in a cabin with no electricity and water and that his birth certificate actually says "billy bob"... but that sounds a little too good to be true. He likes to push an image of himself and I'm not sure I trust the stories — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.211.207.101 (talk) 00:41, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
- This page says his birth name is indeed "William Robert Thornton", which I would think is appropriate for addition to the article lead. http://www.thebiographychannel.co.uk/biographies/billy-bob-thornton.html Famartin (talk) 23:17, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
- This states, "There's neither a William nor a Robert to be found on his birth certificate". Unless someone can produce a birth certificate that proves otherwise, the article shouldn't list "William Robert". All Hallow's Wraith (talk) 08:03, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- @All Hallow's Wraith: Why does Orange Coast magazine trump Britannica? --NeilN talk to me 13:48, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- Orange Coast Magazine is an interview with Thornton himself. Britannica is just a data aggregation service that copies stuff from other places, including at this point, likely from Wikipedia. In fact, Britannica was shown to be as accurate as Wikipedia. All Hallow's Wraith (talk) 19:31, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
