The honorifics Jr. and Sr.
[edit]Please note that The Bold and the Beautiful never gives either Bill Spencer an honorific—in the credits or in the dialogue—and so the honorifics should be used sparingly, if at all, in the article. Certainly, the elder Bill Spencer should not be called "Sr." when referring to him in the days before the writers had ever created or thought of a junior. (I would recommend that the honorific be removed completely from the elder Bill's article.) -- JustinSpurlin (talk) 12:37, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
New changes
[edit]I don't understand the changes just made to this page. This sentence was added: "Bill's father also revealed that his true love was Stephanie Forrester but because she refused to leave Eric nothing happened between them." Why is that necessary? It has nothing to do with the son, whose page this is. And also, there were links added for characters, even though links for them already existed earlier in the article. -- JustinSpurlin (talk) 03:38, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- I incorporated a shortened version of the above information into a pre-existing sentence, but again, I don't see the need for it. These soap character pages are already being challenged for their superfluity, specifically for these long recitations of the plots. The plot summaries should at least be kept as short as possible. I also disagree with introducing the character as "William "Bill" Spencer, Jr.," but the convention of over-elaborate character names seems to be a Wikipedia standard. We even have "Thomas 'Tom' Sawyer" and "Huckleberry 'Huck' Finn," and so I guess we'll have to have "William 'Bill' Spencer," too. But again, the honorific should be never be used except when necessary. We never hear or see "Jr." on the show. Besides, Miss Manners says that when the father dies, the son ceases to be "junior." He is now "senior." -- JustinSpurlin (talk) 04:01, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
The plot is very out of date. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.181.192.29 (talk) 00:50, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
There is no mention of Poppy in the article. Also, was the prior (brief) relationship actual, or something the writers put in the show retroactively?
