All-SWC Selection in Baseball?
[edit]According to the baseball history section on Arkansas' official athletic website, "Bill Montgomery" was also the first Razorback to make the All-SWC Team for the Diamond Hogs. The text lists Montgomery as making the team in 1976, but makes no distinction as to whether it's the same Montgomery who played for the football team a few years earlier or someone else.
Per NCAA rules, I think an athlete only has four years of eligibility even if he or she plays multiple sports. Is it possible that Montgomery stayed on campus for seven or so years and played on the baseball team? Or did someone else come along with the exact same name? I can't seem to find much information online about this matter.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. BZA99 (talk) 00:39, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
