Please explain why the announcement about his son's birth has twice been deleted. The explanation "we only include children's names if they are themselves notable" is complete nonsense. Everyone on Wikipedia has their children's names and birthdates on their pages. The baby's information is included on Tristan Prettyman's (his wife's) wiki page with the same citation. Bill Maris and his wife used social media to announce their wedding, pregnancy and childbirth. His marriage is noted in this section, along with a cite to Instagram (where they announced it), and it is perfectly legitimate to do the same for his son's birth. 173.164.134.213 (talk) 05:17, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That's not what WP:BLPNAME says - it merely indicates names of family members must be removed if not properly sourced. Given in this case the source is the mother, this seems over-enthusiastic editing (as does some of the other wanton discarding of information that is going on at present).
