Discussion
[edit]I'm curious, how can the following statement be taken as fact when the only source is Kazmier himself? "Despite being the reigning champion, the organizers decided not to invite Kazmaier to compete in the following four WSM competitions because he was too dominant" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.172.74.38 (talk) 15:49, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
Bill kazmaier was not the first person to bench press over 300 KG. Jim Williams benched press 675 pounds in 1972 which in KG is 306.5. Granted that was not in the IPF.
- I changed it to say that he was the first to do it in IPF competition. Dsreyn 13:43, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
Didn't he open a second gym in Auburn after the first one closed? note that this is based just what I've heard as an Auburn resident 68.221.199.246 16:27, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
Bill Kazmaier also played for the packers..
He tried out for the packers, and did not make the team. He was also a bully in high school and his nickname was pumpkin head.
HAH! Tried out and didn't make the team? Thats funny. He was offered a no-cut contract and ended up leaving camp due to his pectoral injury he suffered bending cold rolled steel bars. He also drove a green porsche during his short packer stint.
I just want to state one thing: Bill Kazmaier is the greatest powerlifter who ever lived! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.128.58.114 (talk) 22:40, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
Any relation to Heisman trophy winner Dick Kazmaier?
[edit]I mean, "Kazmaier" isn't exactly "Smith." If so, it may bear a mention in the article. Alex finds herself awake at night (Talk · What keeps her up) 09:15, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
