Same as LB Bob/Bill Ferguson of Washington Huskies?
[edit]Washington Media Guide has a LB Bob Ferguson of Federal Way, WA lettering from 1970 to 1972. However, also lists LB Bill Ferguson as an alum drafted in the 1973 NFL Draft to the NY Jets.
San Diego State Media Guide has a LB Bill Ferguson lettering from 1971-1972 and also claims a Bill Ferguson in the 1973 NFL Draft to the NY Jets.
Pro Football Reference lists both Washington and SDSU on his NFL profile page. NFL.com profile lists only SDSU. Both reference a birth city of San Diego, more consistent with the SDSU player.
Believe the Washington media guide is wrong (a LB Bob Ferguson played at Washington, but was not the one drafted by the NY Jets), but it isn't 100% clear at this point. UW Dawgs (talk) 22:27, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- 2016 Washington Media Guide pg178 now claims a Bill Fergeson in the 1973 NFL Draft. So seems to be the same person. Unclear if played at both UW and SDSU. Article now reflects both schools, with SDSU needing more verification.UW Dawgs (talk) 17:38, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
- [1] lists both UW and SDSU. So while SDSU could use a citation, the only real question is where he started out vs ended up. UW Dawgs (talk) 17:46, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
