Author name
[edit]The author Bila M. Kapita is referenced in several variations of the same name (as listed in the infobox) Meticulousonion (talk) 02:10, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
Current work
[edit]Kapita appears to currently work in Kinshasa practicing cardiology. The white pages equivalent websites in Kinshasa list Bila Kapita as a doctor[1] and cited in the article is a link to his current hospital's website with "Dr. Kapita" listed under cardiology with a limited schedule (suggesting a doctor later in their career). The information found online points to it being the correct Dr. Kapita. Meticulousonion (talk) 02:10, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

Education
[edit]Multiple papers from the 1970s were credited to Kapita and have a correspondence address of Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc. Collaborators in Project SIDA also reference his training in Belgium.
SIDA en Afrique
[edit]Kapita published a book on his findings and it may provide more useful biographical information or clarify what is already included. Most historical references to Kapita reference this book. At the time of writing (June 2020) I am unable to access the book due to library closures. If this book can be obtained, it may greatly improve the article. Birthplace
[edit]I had not considered that based on an approximation of Kapita's age (from the ages of his collaborators), his birth in Bas-Congo was most likely during Belgian colonization of the Congo (also the region name was changed in later regimes). I have updated the birthplace in the infobox to reflect Belgian Congo. Meticulousonion (talk) 21:11, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
