Oldest synagogue?
[edit]What exactly is meant by calling Bikur Cholim Machzikay Hadath "the oldest synagogue in Washington state". Clearly their present synagogue is nothing of the sort: it isn't even the oldest synagogue in the Seward Park neighborhood. Is this saying this is the oldest surviving congregation in the state? Or that the building that is now the Langston Hughes Center is the oldest surviving synagogue building in the state? Or what? - Jmabel | Talk 05:17, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Jmabel,
- Bikur Cholim Machzikay Hadath is the oldest congregation/synagogue in Washington State. It has moved several times over the last 130 plus years. 65.116.72.123 (talk) 23:41, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
