- Wikipedia:Notability (people) asks, in this case, if:
- The person has received a notable award or honor, or has been often nominated for them.
- The person has made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in his or her specific field.
- The article as it stands doesn't establish either of these. Please insert text into the article that tells the reader why Mathew is a notable figure. Josh Parris 12:41, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for this ntoe. Biju Mathew is a member of the Organizing Committee of the New York Taxi Workers Alliance. He was one of the moving forces behind New York Taxi workers' strike in 1998. I think this qualifies his notability. Also he is a founder of Forum of Indian Leftists--Satyashodak (talk) 16:18, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Well this 36 year's old is a Hyderabadi who has spearheaded a one of its kind revolution to unite the Multi-ethnic immigrant Taxi drivers of New York.He has been mobilizing the immigrant Yellow-cab driver community through the New York Taxi Workers Alliance(NYTWA).And it was Biju and his 25 member organizing committee of the NYTWA that organized the first -ever-of-its-kind Taxi strike in New York last year that brought him onto the front page of all the American News Papers .The strike was a collective action that turned out to be a turning point in immigrant politics in America.

Article assessment
[edit]Hello. I am assessing articles for WikiProject Asian Americans. While the article has some detail on his professional accomplishments, it is lacking in-line citations of sources and is lacking essential information about himself as a person. It also overall reads like a LinkedIn profile, rather than a neutral encyclopedia article. With some additional information and editing, this article has a lot of potential. In the meantime, I consider it a "c-class" article. Harej (talk) 01:16, 8 March 2014 (UTC)
