It was his stage name. In personal life he was Jake. For example, the first BRJ band was “Big Rude Jake & his Gentleman Players”. In France, his band is “Big Rude Jake & the Jump City Diplomats”. Alajhaj (talk) 11:07, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
