Compound naming and structure
[edit]I do not believe that the structure of this "tetrabromocatecholate" bismuth complex is known. one thing is virtually certain, it will contain Bi with a higher coordination number than 3. The IUPAC name is speculative. I have removed the compound from the heterocycle category as it is just another inorganic complex of a metal with a bidentate organic ligand.Axiosaurus (talk) 12:39, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
- I'm also curious to know where the IUPAC name came from; it appears to name positions on a 7-membered ring, but the ring presented in the skeletal formula has only 6 positions, so one wonders where the 7 came from. This almost certainly needs to be looked at by someone more familiar with organometallic chemistry. Lumberjane Lilly (talk) 17:03, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
