The claim in the article that Bhai Dasa was the "masand of Africa" is extremely suspect and dubious. The cited source is to a blog run by a supposed "historian" named Harpal Singh Kasoor that contains fantastical claims regarding Guru Nanak's travels, such as he visited the Americas (North Carolina and and Texas!), Norway, and many other places. If you look at the blog, it claims to cite various primary sources but none of it supports the claims and the author stretches the limits of human imagination to reach their conclusions.
