@Kailash29792: It is a long time tradition to write the name as (Radha) Jayalakshmi. I do not think it is necessary to elaborate on that. Even when Jayalakshmi sings alone, as per their agreement, it was insisted that the name Radha should be included in the credits. (There was a private reason for that insistence.) So, the media found a way out and started using the brackets around the name Radha to show the song was sung by Jayalakshmi alone. But I have seen that many young writers who may not be aware of traditions in the Carnatic music world and hence do not know this subtlety, write as "Radha Jayalakshmi" even when Jayalakshmi alone has sung that song. But in my articles I have always written as [[Radha Jayalakshmi|(Radha) Jayalakshmi]]. I have written this for clarification.--UKSharma3 (User | talk | Contribs) 05:34, 24 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sir, in this edit summary, you said "Radha Jayalakshmi article is about the duo. Only Jayalakshmi sang this song. But by tradition, Radha's name is included to differentiate from Soolamangalam R. Jayalakshmi". I agreed with that, and wrote "Jayalakshmi (one half of the Radha Jayalakshmi duo)". But I never knew "(Radha) Jayalakshmi" was the media-given stage name for Jayalakshmi's solo performances. I can't even find a source for this claim. Now I have re-added "(Radha) Jayalakshmi" and added a footnote saying, "(Radha) Jayalakshmi was the pseudonym used by Jayalakshmi for her performances without Radha". Is this correct? Also, somehow the "ping" template never notifies me, so you may instead use {{U|Kailash29792}}. --Kailash29792(talk)07:53, 27 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I do not think you can find any 'source' for use of the name (Radha) Jayalakshmi. It was only a tradition that whoever wrote notifications, reviews etc. to write so to indicate it was J alone. You can use whatever way suitable for Wiki. I do not know whether the word pseudonym could be used as Jayalakshmi is her real name. I was writing (Radha) Jayalakshmi because it was how I wrote in other media. You can find a way of your own to let it know that it was Jayalakshmi alone who sang that song while keeping the word Radha also in the name as per their agreement. (I do not know whether there is anyone now alive to insist on that.) Jayalakshmi of [[Radha Jayalakshmi]] duo. omitting one half is also good. --UKSharma3 (User | talk | Contribs) 12:26, 27 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
