Kermit
[edit]In It's Here Now (Are you?), he claims that Kermit is his first name, with Michael being his middle name. I don't think that's a joke, so I'm changing the article. It's not vandalism! (-: I think the internet knows his first name is kermit, too. — vijay (Talk) 14:36, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
Kermit Riggs sold cars for me in Santa Cruz, while playing his instrument at Berkley, I have pictures and New paper articles about his time at Thrun Dodge in Santa Cruz. wthrun@usamedia.tv wt
- The image of him selling vans and van conversions is on the back cover of the album Ah.(mercurywoodrose)76.232.10.199 (talk) 06:48, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
No criticism?
[edit]I'm not the right person to write that, having only heard of the guy through Jeff Brown's book "Grounded Spirituality" and the trailer of "Karmaggedon", but it looks like some of his practices are at least controversial. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2003:CB:BBC8:3B00:6DF3:D641:2BF2:F791 (talk) 08:27, 23 July 2019 (UTC)
- Has someone published criticism we should be aware of? Skyerise (talk) 00:35, 21 December 2021 (UTC)
What happened to his wife Kali / Sharada Devi?
[edit]She has just disappeared with no news stories stating what happened to her. All her images are gone from all his social media sites. I want the dirt. Anyone know? — Preceding unsigned comment added by KonchogChonye (talk • contribs) 04:52, 11 January 2020 (UTC)
- Hmm, yes, User:Moksha Now seems to have removed the well-cited personal life info and replaced it with less reliable recent information. Skyerise (talk) 17:21, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
Claim of common law marriage
[edit]I've removed Kermit's self-serving claim of common-law marriage. This 'marriage' supposedly occurred in California, which does not recognize common-law marriage. But further, he was still married to Bhavani until her death in 1983 - I don't know of any state that recognizes a common-law marriage when one of the partners is still legally married to another spouse. Skyerise (talk) 19:58, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
- I don't see why he is put in the category of bigamists. As far as this article states, he was married and had another relationship while married. To be a bigamist, you need to be married to two people at the same time. So I'll wait for feedback and take him out of the category if no-one objects. Totorotroll (talk) 19:59, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- Oh yes, you're right. He only claimed to be a bigamist. The previous version of the article took him at his word for this, but as I've shown it wasn't true. I just neglected to take off the category. Skyerise (talk) 16:28, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
