Beychella

I had a thought that maybe this article should be renamed Beychella or to create a redirect would also work but I think Beychella is cooler. What's everyones opinion?

Re: Beychella, at very least I definitely think the term & hashtag should be described in the entry, since it comes up in so many secondary sources! And I'm open to other names for the entry, this was just the best I could come up with to get it started. Wikipedia practice is usually to keep the more straightforwardly descriptive/formal term as the main entry name rather than using nicknames, unless someone/something is really only known by the nickname (e.g. Cardi B) and I don't think we're quite there yet in terms of secondary sources using "Beychella" as the primary name for the event (I'm still seeing headlines that call it "Beyoncé’s Coachella performance", Beyoncé’s historic Coachella performance, etc.) But adding a redirect for "Beychella" in case someone wants to search for it works for me!

This is a good question. I had seen two RS that named this as the number of people in attendance at this show, but now I also references to it as the total number of festival-goers that day. I'll look and see if I can find any other estimates of how many people attended Beyoncé's show specifically. If anyone else has any sources, that'd be welcome. See also section

Y2kcrazyjoker4, I see you have repeatedly removed the See also section, most recently saying "This section has no context or value". To my eyes, the items included usefully fulfill the See also mandate to offer links to tangentially related topics that may be of further interest to readers, and two of the last three you removed are discussed widely in RS on the concert. Why are the topics relevant? If there are mentions to the subjects in many reliable sources, perhaps they should be mentioned in the body of the article with some explanation why they are related, instead of linking to them in a "See also" section without any context or explanation for how they are connected. I agree they should eventually be incorporated but in the meantime this seems like a reasonable place to put relevant topics and a reasonable explanation of why they are (relevant). Do you have other topics to suggest you think would be more relevant? This is really a sincere question, I'm honestly having a hard time grasping what See also should contain in any article, if topics specifically mentioned alongside this topic in reliable sources isn't sufficient to indicate their relevance. An article doesn't necessarily need a "See also" section. Many articles will never have a reason for one. I think "feminism" or anything of the like that was previously there should be mentioned in the article body as a particular theme of the performance. That would be much more descriptive of what made her performance what it was. As to your question about topics that could be in a "See also" section for this article, I can't think of anything that exists at the moment, but some hypothetical examples could be List of Beyonce music festival performances or 2021 Solange Coachella performance (if Solange gave a future performance that mimicked or reenacted Beyonce's performance). Thanks Vinoyo. The Rolling Stone piece is used once in the entry so far but I think there's definitely more to pull from and it would be great if you wanted to do that. As for the others, you'll want to make sure you follow the WP policy on WP:No original research, particularly the WP:Synthesis. In this case that means ideally you'd want to look for sources interpreting what the Adichie sample or the song "Lift Every Voice and Sing" meant for this concert specifically, rather than including any interpretation of your own applying other analysis to this concert, if the source doesn't mention it. Set list

I don't think there's a issue, KAYVEEN was just rightly reverting edits not supported by references, but earlier today I added up several sources that confirms the reported setlist. I'm not sure which is the policy in Wikipedia in regards to setlists, but I think everybody who's editing the article has watched or streamed the concert so the setlist right now is the most correct one. I added up a hidden disclaimer in the section so that every future editor will be advised to seek the references before editing again. Fabrictii (talk) 18:55, 23 April 2018 (UTC)

I keep on editing the setlist because there's a song Beyoncé performed (Mine) which is not mentioned on the Setlist. Even though she didn't actually SING the song, she was ON STAGE and DANCED to it and was part of a transition to Baby Boy. You keep Kitty Kat on the setlist (which is fine by me) even though she only sang the acappella for a few seconds. Same goes for Green Light, it was just an Outro that lasted 20 seconds (and she didn't sing it) but you still put it on the Setlist. So I don't see why you keep on deleting "Mine". It should get the same treatment as Kitty Kat and Green Light. KAYVEEN (talk) 00:47, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
