title
[edit]do we have any sourcing that actually refers to the "Renaissance trilogy"? my understanding is that it’s a trilogy of projects of which Renaissance is the first. seems kind of WP:FANCRUFT? Griffindaly (talk) 03:47, 12 February 2024 (UTC)
This is not an official term
[edit]Three-act projects don't necessarily mean a trilogy. This has never been used as an official term. Please stop the cap. Just call the second album 'Act II' tentatively instead of making this fan fiction of an article. Seth Rollins, Monday Night Messiah (talk) 06:28, 12 February 2024 (UTC)
- Agreed. You people are just polluting Wikipedia with fanfics that will have to be cleaned up as soon as the title gets revealed.
- A lot of middle of the road media refer to Wikipedia for their articles and this mess gets spreaded around. 2A02:8109:810A:5B00:F558:149A:32AE:51AC (talk) 12:20, 17 February 2024 (UTC)
Deletion is unjustified
[edit]The term "Renaissance Trilogy" is consistently used by reputable sources and is firmly established within media discussions.[1], [2], [3], [4], [5]. Relevant terminology from reputable sources is used -- see WP:SIGCOV. It's also a commonly understood term, even without clear designation from Beyoncé/her team. The name is apt and meets the criterion for inclusion -- see WP:COMMONNAME. All content is equitable, factual and well sourced as such -- see WP:NPOV. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ModulationBend (talk • contribs) 17:47, 12 February 2024 (UTC)
- In this case, then the "t" in "trilogy" should be lowercase, as it is not an official name, just an encompassing term. Seth Rollins, Monday Night Messiah (talk) 03:48, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
Fixed the speculative title
[edit]Based on what it's been referred to as officially. It should be the main title until an official name for the three-act project comes out. CourierCarlos (talk) 04:25, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- I would like to add: Reliable news sources are not immune to speculation-and that news sources alone aren't the sole sources that Wikipedia considers reliable. It also takes into account official sources. It is best to wait until the official sources release the name of the project. We should also take into account the news sources that don't refer to it with the speculative title "Renaissance trilogy". CourierCarlos (talk) 04:31, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- Also it looks like the "Renaissance Trilogy" term is case of circular reporting. CourierCarlos (talk) 05:32, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
