Origins of Bevins
[edit]To IP user, if you can find good evidence from a reliable source for French and Irish origins of Bevins (not Bevan), please add it. The relatively large concentration of Bevinses in the West Midlands lends support to it being mainly Anglo-Welsh. The Norman-French name would be a separate name to the Anglo-Welsh that came to have the same spelling. Another example would be 'Butt' originally a name from the south west in England, but now more common amongst people with Pakistani heritage. Bevo74 (talk) 12:41, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
