Re: "the Earthforce has retrofitted Shadow tehcnology to Omega class destroyers". [paraphrase]

You don't "retrofit" a hull technology to a ship class. You can add Shadow weapons, but the essence of a class is the hull. Change that and the class changes. The Advanced Destroyer's hulls are "partially organic" (as the script states), hulls that did not exist before. Thus these are a NEW class incorporating Shadow technology.
