Homestuck References

It seems due to the effect that the betty crocker brand has on Homestuck's story/plot, that this page needs at least semi-protection.

Ya, the homestuck edits are getting quite silly... but so is the fact that this page does not have a popular culture reference to it. all these other comments in this talk page are about how dead, and retired betty crocker is, while, in reality, she is just getting a new life. i dont think the page needs "protection" just, some honest expansion on the subject. 98.249.4.247 (talk) 04:35, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

I just revised the Homestuck reference to be a bit toned down; among other reasons, the EXACT role the company plays in the story is a major late-story spoiler, and Homestuck's first act links to this wikipedia page to give people a primer on Betty Crocker. If the line were kept as is, potentially every new Homestuck reader could be spoiled on a surprise aspect of the story. This isn't a typical Wiki-editing reason, I know, but could we give it a pass for the story's sake this once? Especially considering how this wikipedia page refers MUCH more to the Betty Crocker company and brand than to the fabricated figurehead owning the "Betty Crocker" name, so the reference should have referred to the company in the first place? 129.110.241.77 (talk) 14:49, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
