I'll be reviewing this one :) ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 21:03, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Change scanning platinum to certified Platinum and pipe the words to List of music recording certifications. → Platinum is a noun in this sense, its the name of the certification award. Additionally, the usual use of language is certified not scanned.

  • Not sure topping the Bubbling Under chart is lead-worthy. It would be better to say it appeared on several other record charts. At this stage number 1 on Bubbling is less noteworthy than 93 on the Canadian Hot 100 IMO.
  • I believe it is noteworthy due to the song attaining its highest certification in the US, mentioning its chart peak just supplements that information.--NØ 05:44, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • I disagree with this, at this stage the Bubbling Under is less noteworthy than the genre charts or positions 1 to 100 on the main charts however, its not going to stop the GA process.

Infobox

[edit]
  • What's the reasoning for this being called a promo single and not a full single? Was it released independently from the parent album? Yes. Did it have its own cover and music video? Yes. Feels a bit like WP:DUCK.
  • Instant downloads are a type of single download. The main difference between "Sour Candy" and "Better When I'm Dancin'" is that the latter got a music video, and was actively promoted whereas "Sour Candy" was reactively promoted. ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 08:55, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Insta-grat tracks released off album pre-orders have traditionally been a way to release promo singles, no? The song was released in October, but did not receive any televised performances until November, coinciding with the release of The Peanuts Movie (so quite literally a promotional single). There are also YouTube interviews of Trainor that month saying that it wasn't a single ([1]). It has been listed as a promo single for over 5 years, so it would confuse readers to see it be changed in 2020. I strongly believe GAN isn't the right venue to discuss this, considering there's no stability concern and it's always been listed as such.--NØ 09:59, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Do you want to add the music video to the infobox?

Background and release

[edit]
  • "It had a limited release to contemporary hit radio in Italy on October 23" → problematic and slightly synthesisy, the source provided says it was made available to radio stations in Italy. We can't say that is or isn't a limited release in the context of Italy. I think you're trying to say there was a limited release to radio, and it was it released in Italy. The "limited bit" is just superfluous at this stage.

Composition and critical reception

[edit]
  • These two sections don't naturally sit well together. It would be more desirable/help the flow of the article to have critical reception and commercial reception together under a L2 header "Reception".
