Ok well just need to clarify alot on this. But yes this isn't a hospital and can confirm myself that I and others used this place as a Homeless Shelter from April 2021 to May 2nd. This just due to finding me a temporary shelter for 2 more days, until I finally got to move in to a place I can afford. It also was a COVID 19 respite for one floor, and 3 floors total for the homeless. It was officially closed as both on the 30th of April. After some searching it appears they're going to renovate this place more for psychiatric/addiction type of place/hospital. Will also share links to generally confirm this below.
Had to include this to cause, many that did complain were at risk of causing more irreparable harm to Homeless as well instead of concern to really help. And we did disprove their worries on so called behavior. If anyone did cause harm while in use of, of course were immediately kicked out. Not that I agree with that really. But yea was it inept in some thinking, most definitely. More affordable housing options were avalible and are still even now and weren't at least immediately applied for alot. And for those where it wasn't applied well yes, more homeless again as uptick has happened again. My basic thing to more richer residence's is this, what is really more harmful being like in this link was and your disdain for helping people? Cause In the longer run, if they did succeed in not allowing it, would have cost the county and city way more, and increasing even more of their taxes. https://www.twincities.com/2020/12/22/capitol-heights-homeowners-sue-to-block-bethesda-homeless-shelter/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by MacStarbase (talk • contribs) 23:10, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
