What about the Midland Railway 0-10-0 (British Railways no. 58100) steam locomotive used as the banking engine on the Lickey Incline from Bromsgrove?
Aramaic etymology of Bertha?
[edit]The Word Barta in Aramaic means "daughter". Rendered into Yemenite dialect (which is used as the standard transliterations into formal English, etc..., ie. words like Beth, Sabbath) it becomes Bertha. I heard a few weeks ago about a connection to the name Bertha but I don't know of any text to back it up. I will say though that many Talmudic names come from the Hebrew and Aramaic terms for various roles in the family: Rav Papa (father), Abba (father), Rav Acha (brother), so I don't think it's too much of a stretch but I want evidence before proceeding.
