[edit]Until some one can work his birth place in to the main article cleanly (as required by the style manual), I'm removing his birth place. He was born in Bathgate, Scotland.
How exactly does his daughter being a sports presenter relate to his Career outline?

- Someone's already dealt with the first item. Everyone should be linked to prominent relations as a matter of course. 62.31.55.223 06:03, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Eagle Open
[edit]Gallacher won the inaugural Lusaka Open in 1969. This was sometimes called the "Eagle Open" or "Lusaka Eagle Open". The Glasgow Herald calls it the "Kwacha Eagle Open" and some sources have "Kawacha Eagle Open". Kawacha makes no sense at all. Kwacha is plausible since it is the unit of currency in Zambia. However, there is no such eagle as a "Kwacha Eagle". My suspicion is that the event was advertised as the "x,000 Kwacha Eagle Open" or similar (giving the prize money as well as the name of the event) and some journalist has thought that the event was called the "Kwacha Eagle Open". Difficult to be certain but seems likely to me. Nigej (talk) 15:16, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, it was reported exactly as you describe "3000 kwacha Eagle Open" after his win the following week: [1]. 51.6.161.113 (talk) 15:58, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
