Merging into British Empire Medal holder article
[edit]@Ceyockey: Ceyockey has kindly reviewed this page and suggested this be merged into the British Empire Medal holder article. I understand the reason but question if it would be effective. I make a number of edits using Telegraph obituaries as a source, normally adding to an existing article, usually a WW2 campaign. Quite often new information appears in obituaries e.g. Harry Hatfield's revealed that it was HMS Malaya who fired the 15" shell beautifully preserved by Genoa Cathedral. (I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the different language versions change!) Unfortunately there is no synergy whatsoever with the BEM article as each award is a completely separate story. Davis's own award gives an astonishing description of 1940's London with people living in ruined and dangerous buildings which few would recognise. Agreed the article is very short and I wonder whether it would fit better with an article on London post war reconstruction plus a link to the BEM page.
I'll have a look but would welcome suggestions. Regards JRPG (talk) 21:08, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
