Casey Merrill
[edit]I want to make note of someone famous lives here. Casey Merrill, former NFL running back of the Packers, New York Giants and Saints in the 1980's/early 1990's, lives in Bermuda Dunes. I don't know of any other celebrity in Bermuda Dunes, but the home values are at over $500,000 (or higher) sends a signal for potential future residents: actors, singers, millionaires, politicans and athletes. In just five years, Bermuda Dunes is a lucrative address for well-to-do people finds out about this place and we're gonna be another Indian Wells, Rancho Mirage or Tahquitz Creek (millionaire golf course community in Palm Springs) in no time. + 63.3.14.129 02:19, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Gated community?
[edit]I think they voted to become a gated community, according to the community center opened in the former fire station. The area's home value prices dropped in recent years due to the national real estate downturn. [1] and the citydata page is contradictory to the not properly sourced then deleted section (my doing), but I agree the community has a level of diversity and religiosity. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bermuda_Dunes,_California&diff=prev&oldid=510296546#Sociocultural_diversity The gated community plan does not seem to happen, because many residents do not prefer their neighborhoods to be gated, other than already private communities like country clubs and apartment complexes restricted from public entry. 71.102.21.238 (talk) 06:56, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
Diversity
[edit]I discovered a web site discussed Bermuda Dunes was racially diverse, mostly conservative and largely family community. [1] The population is racially diverse, and mostly married couples. ... James Monroe Elementary: 42 100 Yucca Ln. Bermuda Dunes, CA 92203: (760) 772-4130 ... I doubt the source is useful, including the site's link was starting to "404 not found" on me or probably is outdated. 71.102.21.238 (talk) 06:38, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
