Incomplete episode list, unreliable source
[edit]Given that only the first episode has been seen and there's no reliable information on the others, I've temporarily blocked out the rest of the episode list. This show being aired on ITV is likely to not have episode names, so they would follow the format 'Episode 1', 'Episode 2', etc.. All of the information currently in the table has come from IMDB, a known unreliable source. Information should be verifed before being reincluded. The column for the production code has been removed as British programs don't normally have it or at least none I have ever seen. Ryan8374 (talk) 21:40, 27 December 2015 (UTC)
Reception
[edit]Now that the series is being transmitted, the article needs a section covering audience and critical reception, plus audience numbers. The few newspaper reviews I've seen have been pretty negative, suggesting it's a shameless Game of Thrones knockoff. --Ef80 (talk) 19:44, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- A section has now been added by User:Twobells. I can see no obvious WP:COI, but the section has a whiff of spin about it, implying that the reception has been largely positive. The only ref would have been weak even if its link had worked, which it doesn't. My impression remains that most reviewers consider this series a bit of a turkey. --Ef80 (talk) 20:01, 23 January 2016 (UTC)
- No spin, we are waiting for the season to finish so we can aggregate the ratings, I have qualified the sentence to include the words 'the show has garnered both positive and negative reviews', regards.Twobells (talk) 20:03, 23 January 2016 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Your ref link is still broken though, for me anyway. --Ef80 (talk) 19:13, 24 January 2016 (UTC)

Does anyone else find it a bit odd that, in the two negative reviews, one faults it for hewing to close to the source material, the other for straying to far from it?Johundhar (talk) 02:13, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
Do We Want To Address The Critical Response To Positive Discrimination Casting?
[edit]There have been two negative critiques of the show that concentrate on the extensive casting of non-northern European/Scandinavians for the show. Tbh, I am a little wary of including such reviews at the moment, perhaps when the series has broadcast half a dozen more episodes we can make a note of the negative response to such casting? It isn't about racism perse, rather more about not being able to set aside belief with the suggestion that the instead of the area being 2nd century Scandinavia the show resembles some sort of modern multicultural southern European/Middle Eastern region.Twobells (talk) 13:38, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
13 US Episodes
[edit]There were 13 episodes in the US, which aired 20 days later than in the UK. I believe UK episode 8 was split into two US episodes. I suppose US episodes 8 & 9 must have been padded with cut scenes to fill out the time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Greglovern (talk • contribs) 07:19, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
