Fuel economy
[edit]The Bentley S3 got what kind of gas mileage?
- On average about 13 miles per imperial gallon or 11 miles per US gallon. (Yes, at least twice as economical as a Cadillac Sixty Special of the same era. Why, it's practically a Volkswagen. But, of course, nowadays, Bentleys are Volkswagens.) Generally, though, don't rely on Wikipedia for anything. The article states that the S3 differed from the S2 in the 'canted' quad headlamps, but they were only canted on the coachbuilt Mulliner Park Ward 'Chinese Eye' coupe and drophead Continental. The article also states that all coachbuilt H.J. Mulliner Flying Spurs were four-door, but in fact there was a two-door coupe in the same style, quite distinct from the straight-winged 'Chinese Eye' coupe. There was also a distinction between the 6-light Flying Spur saloon illustrated and the uglier 4-light (without the rear quarterlights), as owned by Keith Richards.
