Merge request from Uoro River

[edit]

Uoro river doesn't exist. This is about the Uoro Mbini river, an alternative name for the Benito river. Check:

Can't see that those links support the claim. Uoro is used in English, such as at:
Africa Tour operators page.
Perhaps they are referring to a notable tributary? Klbrain (talk) 05:09, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Klbrain: The links supports there is no recording of the Uoro river in the place described at the main source: the Birdlife description of Monte Alen National Park it says "The park is bordered by the large and fast-flowing Uoro river to the west" and if you check at OSM this is exactly the Mbini river. Checking Geonames I see a mention to the Uoro but, it's even more confusing to me :-| Also there is no reference to Uoro in Google Maps.
Recheking again, looking at this map made by Spain IGN in 1979 it describes Uoro / Mbini river. Look just at the left of the "R I O" word in the map: it says «RIO UORO O MBINI» in Spanish. You can check at Río Muni (Mbini in Fang language) names all the continental region of Equatorial Guinea.
So it seems the Ouro river really exists and it's another name for the Mbini/Benito river.

That's very thorough and seems fine to me. Now happy to support the merge. I also added on the merge template to the Benito River page a few hours ago (it was missing from there). Klbrain (talk) 12:00, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Klbrain: Did you realized Muni River maybe should be merged too? o_0 Olea (talk) 19:29, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
For Uoro River,   checkY Merger complete.
Regarding Muni River, I think that this quite different. While the Benito (or Mbini) river "divides [Equatorial Guinea] roughly along the middle" with its mouth at Mbini, the Muni River is further south, forming part of the border with Gabon and with its mouth at Cocobeach (Gabon).
