Previous nationality

Does Beneil have a dual citizenship? He is not Persian, and if he doesn't have a dual citizenship, why is he referred to as Iranian-American? Isn't that his previous nationality? And then again in the info-box his nationality is referred to as Iranian. Shmayo (talk) 15:52, 15 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

He's presumably a dual citizen. He was born in Iran as an Iranian citizen. Subsequently acquiring US citizenship does not mean that he ceases to be an Iranian citizen. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:59EB:D280:9545:619B:B852:18EE (talk) 06:26, 23 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
