Disambiguation or brand stub

[edit]

My thinking is that the version of this article as a brand stub is better suited to treatment of the topic than the current disambiguation format. I'm considering reverting back to the stub format and wanted to get some feedback on that before causing consternation with the change. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 23:47, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm in complete agreement with the idea myself - the older version of the page you link to looks 'cleaner' in general, even if it could use a bit of cleanup itself. - Pacula 02:51, 17 December 2006 (UTC)nitesh singh[reply]

Perhaps we could mention the multiple references to Benadryl in songs and movies. There are lots of songs that talk about benadryl night/abuse. (I'm sorry this is not formatted as it ought to be but I am new)

As a newbie, still not sure why there's a duplicate article... this article is titled benadryl, but benadryl is really Diphenhydramine, which has an extensive article on wiki. Why not delete this article?Boonshoft (talk) 04:31, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
For the same reason we have both Nurofen and ibuprofen: if a particular brand is notable enough, it gets its own entry. 86.136.251.177 (talk) 20:55, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This page can be potentially misleading. It starts with "Benadryl (diphenhydramine)..." whereas the composition of "Benadryl" is different in different markets. This is partially reflected in the first paragraph itself however this does not include the Indian market where Benadryl is the popular brand of a cough syrup. In the recent times, there are multiple cough formulations marketed under the same brand name ( Benadryl Cr Congestion, Benadryl Dr Dry Cough and the original cough syrup which is still marketed as Benadryl Cough Formula). Benadryl Allergy syrup and capsules are also available as OTC drugs in India although not as popular as the cough formulations.Links: http://www.apollopharmacy.in/common-ailments/ailments/cough-cold-flu/benadryl-conges-relef-syrup-50ml.html , http://www.mims.com/India/drug/info/BENADRYL-CR/BENADRYL-CR%20syr , http://modernpharma.in/news/johnson-johnson-launches-otc-congestion-relief-syrup/825.html , http://www.thehealthsite.com/benadryl/ , http://modernpharma.in/news/benadryl-dr-a-new-variant-for-dry-cough-launched/4525.html . A tabular format is perhaps better for this. Also, as anti-allergics, it is available in various forms in the US (http://www.benadryl.com/products). Just wanted to add that I don't think this article should exist. If someone searches for "benadryl" odds are they don't care about the history of the brand, they care about the drug. Of which this article talks very little about. 2602:30A:2E6F:8E20:F9CA:52:ABE9:A60C (talk) 03:15, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
We keep information about drugs at the generic brand name. Jytdog (talk) 07:34, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Name for multiple generics

[edit]

This trade name is used for multiple generics and thus we should probably keep it as an independent article rather than a redirect to the most common generic. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 20:27, 26 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

add to 5.1 recreational usage. "Benadryl Challenge".

if someone has the time, please watch this video, and write up a brief, but concise accounting thereof. maybe this will help other young people from doing such a dangerous activity.

this is not a good source, the medical information is slightly off and the premise is extremely biased. Morzenmebs (talk) 14:28, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This page and Diphenhydramine are broken when logged out on desktop

[edit]

For some reason the search bar and top menu are rendered at the bottom, and there is a weird blue checkbox that isn't there on any other wiki page. Screenshots linked: https://imgur.com/a/DYL0R83. Justforthisonething (talk) 04:17, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmed in an incognito tab. Will investigate further. – Stuart98 ( Talk Contribs) 04:19, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Huh, nothing changed on the page but the issue seems to be fixed now. Bizarre, wonder if someone broke a template or something. – Stuart98 ( Talk Contribs) 04:25, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Zinc Acetate error

[edit]

The Topical section claims the cream has "1% of zinc acetate" but the actual package sold in the US says 0.1%. I recommend correcting the Topical section. 208.82.100.219 (talk) 23:06, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
