NRHP?
[edit]What is the reference number? The water tower is mentioned in the nomination form for Belmont Mansion (Tennessee), [1], but so are a lot of other buildings. There is no explicit list of contributing buildings or structures. Is there any reference to back up the "listed" claim? Generic1139 (talk) 02:32, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
Indeed, the water tower is mentioned in the nomination form and as such is included in the NRHP listing. The first floor of the tower includes a bronze plaque inscribed with a reference to being listed on the NRHP. As for "a lot of other buildings", the 5 summer homes mentioned in the NHRP application form 1971 consist of open, wrought iron structures that would be more properly listed as gazebos (one of which is presumed to have been an aviary). These are nominally referenced in the Belmont Mansion (Tennessee) page. Chenowethp
- The nomination form mentions the mansion, the marble fountain, five summer houses, and the tower. NRIS says one building and one structure. The form isn't as helpful as some in specifically calling out the tower as contributing, but as the tower is included in the photos, is more of a structure than the fountain, and the "summer houses" aren't included in the count, I agree with you that the tower is included in Belmont Mansion.
