Removal of alert boxes
[edit]I am removing the alert boxes for this article. At the time of writing, the alert boxes are:
- This article is an orphan;
- This article should be divided into sections by topic; and
- This article may require copy editing.
A link was added to the article on Collecting in March 2013, so it is no longer technically an orphan. Of course, some future editor may dispute her notability as a collector and remove her name from that list, in which case it will be an orphan again. But Wikipedia policy is clear: Once the article has one or more links that fit the criteria, remove the tag. — Wikipedia:Orphans#Step_4:_Remove_the_orphan_template
This is a very short article, so the biography really doesn't need to be divided into sections by topic.
This was the current revision when the copy-editing request was added to the article. It has been worked on significantly since then, and I suspect that for some time the alert box has done more harm than good as novice editors have tried to improve it, with variable success. By the time I happened upon the article, its deficiencies were much more subtle than basic grammar and spelling, and as likely as not to be the result of overzealous copy-editing.
I think the priority now should be to check the article against its sources for accuracy, as editors — including myself — may have inadvertently introduced errors of fact by making assumptions about what an earlier writer was trying to say.
