Rosh Yeshiva Controversy
[edit]Calling R' Avichai the current Rosh Yeshiva is problematic in that there is no attributable source that names him as such. The Arutz Sheva article sourced in the entry attributes the Rosh Yeshivaship of the Old City Yeshiva to R' Shalom Mordekhai Hedayya. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mekubal (talk • contribs) 18:39, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Your comment does not express that of a non-neutral point of view. This is a gross error of the Arutz Sheva article, as we all know that the Gadol was at the head of Re`hov Rashi Yeshivah. If that article is a good reference, then one should accept the fact (stated in the article) that the Rav Getz headed the Yeshivah in the Old City, which is then in contradiction of your own modifications. As for the fact that the Rav Avi`hai is the current Rosh Yeshivah in the Old City, you can find all kind of sources, ranging from publications to even acknowledgement of that fact in public radio interviews (which is much sufficient for wikipedia), e.g. two recordings in honour of the Hiloulah of the RaShaSh: http://www.iba.org.il/moreshet/moreshet.aspx?classto=InnerKlali&type=1&entity=611770 http://www.iba.org.il/moreshet/moreshet.aspx?classto=InnerKlali&type=1&entity=611771 Note that the Rav Hedaya is interviewed together with the Rav Avi`hai without contradiction expressed whatsoever. This wikipedia article should give expression to both sides (in the Old City and in Re`hov Rashi) without giving more credit to one side or the other, which is the exact purpose of mentioning the dispute in the article, but not in order to pursue any agenda.
