I remember a shortmovie. i believe it was australian. I watched it as a teenager so it must be over 30 years old.
The plot was about a teenager orchestra rehearsing a beethoven symphony. A boy playing the timpani is the main star. During rehearsals he never remembers when he should start playing.
He befriends the janitor who resembles beethoven. And during the story the boy starts to believe the man is the maestro himself.
The movie ends with the premier performance, the beethoven janitor watches it from the back , and directs the boy on when to play. Following these directions the boy succeeds on playing correctly for the first time. The viewer gets the feeling that the janitor is indeed beethoven.
