Please stop deleting my text - this is a work in progress! if I can save without publishing please let me know how

Yes they have - by user CliffC. I added The Beer Sommelier, which is THE trademarked holder/owner of the term, and the description of the company, which he erroneously deleted. If "Cicerone," which is simply the trademarked name of Ray Daniels' certification FOR-PROFIT COMPANY is allowed, than so will be The Beer Sommelier. This article has grown overly commercial. I deleted the material mentioned above, and other material promoting individual entities or persons, per WP:PROMOTION. Have also removed the external-link list of several organizations offering training, see WP:NOTDIRECTORY. --CliffC (talk) 03:27, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

I'm adding that which I have already posted to CliffC's "complaints" page, here, such that others may have some perspective - not simply one individual's knee-jerk reaction to what he perceives as spam;

The fact that I, personally, added "The Beer Sommelier" to this entry, should make no difference. I make no reference to either my web site, or remunerations. Additionally, I don't even compare The Beer Sommelier to other companies - simply make a mention, given its historical place in the craft been pantheon and industry. Would it be less "spammy," by your assessment, had someone else placed the reference?

That it's a company is really irrelevant. I've been tapped for expert testimony/resource and featured on/in the TODAY show, Entreprepreneur magazine, the New York Times, Washington Post, TheStreet.com and many other internationally credible media resources (and I have all the interviews, in print and video, to prove it)...none of which paid any form of remuneration. I was also used as an official expert witness in a federal, civil court case (testimony now on public record).

So, as I've mentioned, if there is going to be any Wiki entry referencing term "Beer Sommelier," it's only fair and just to have a presence there by the owner of the term and the one person promoting the craft as no other entity holding said title. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Matttys (talk • contribs) 19:43, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

The problem is that you have a conflict of interest with this article because of your connection with The Beer Sommelier. You should leave it for independent editors to decide whether to add that site to the article and/or remove others. —C.Fred (talk) 23:39, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

This is a poorly written article - "The barbarians used it most willingly" is an example of strange English. On further research It seems that this "profession" is the invention of one brewery in Poland for their visitor centre and should not have a page as it contravenes wiki's rules on promotion - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:PROMOTION .
