Europe, France section

[edit]

"like in Beaumont's version, it is not mentioned that the protagonist's sisters are punished at the end. " Nothing in the section on Beaumont mentions any punishment. 84.71.45.82 (talk) 16:32, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong Villeneuve plot

[edit]

Hello

The Villeneuve's plot section is false, perhaps a movie adaptation plot, or Vandalism. Last good Villeneuve's plot is 14 July 2020‎ , heavily altered by User:Harry Vallet : [see here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Beauty_and_the_Beast&type=revision&diff=970115033&oldid=967697656 ].

You can read real Villeneuve plot at de.wiki or it.wiki

but isn't the plot too long? or is that just me? Anthony2106 (talk) 10:50, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed that it's Very detailed, I've tried trimming it down a bit again.

Added summary section

[edit]

This is a longer edit so let me know if it doesn't fit please!

Thought process: Villenveue's version is referenced (non-Wiki meaning [/jk]) as a base to explain the other versions, but it's very long and has intricate descriptions even after I trimmed it down.

A summary makes it easier for people to read quickly if they're unfamiliar with the fairy tale at all, which is I think what the article's for. I tried to keep the story elements while not being specific.

(This line said as a joke, tl;dr I did the thing you do with fairy tales where they're abridged to fit purposes! \o/ )

Thank you. ~ Fireant314 (talk) 19:43, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
