I shall be reviewing this article against the Good Article criteria, following its nomination for Good Article status.

Disambiguations: one found and fixed.[1] Jezhotwells (talk) 22:22, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Linkrot: none found. Jezhotwells (talk) 22:24, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Checking against GA criteria

[edit]
GA review (see here for criteria)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
Throughout the article a large number of sentences start with either "Grigorieva " and "She". Can this be broken up a little to make it all seem a little less clunky, a little less like a list of sentences?
'See Also section: Mel Gibson and Icon Entertainment are already wiki-linked in the article, Timothy Dalton could be, I fail to see what the other links here add.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
References check out, all appear reliable.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
It is usual in articles on albums to have details of the production, i.e. studio(s), personnel (I have no idea as to whether this is solo piano and voice or whether there is other accompaniment, engineer, recording dates. The infobox should have the album length (time). Information on sales, chart positions, release history, etc. should be included. See WP:WikiProject Albums
I found this at last.fm[2] which gives some details of accompanists.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
    Rationale OK
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
On Hold for seven days for above issues to be addressed. Jezhotwells (talk) 22:53, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have looked in various chart archives. I guess this album didn't sell very well and is mainly notable because of Gibson's involvement. I couldn't find any more about it. I think it might be worth adding accompanist details though.
OK, I guess this is as far as we can take it at the moment. Passing as GA status. Jezhotwells (talk) 12:58, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Responses

Thank you very much for doing the review. Will respond to the above points raised by the GA Reviewer soon. ;) -- Cirt (talk) 03:56, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  1. I went through and removed instances of "Grigorieva" and "She", in multiple locations in the article.
  2. I merged and copyedited multiple sentences in order to make it seem less like a list of info.
  3. I removed the above-mentioned entries from the See also sect.
  4. I added album length (time) to the infobox.
  5. I did some more checking in multiple different research database archives - to no avail. I believe that the current state of the article represents the body of WP:RS secondary source coverage on this topic. I would hope its quality status would not be impeded based, unfortunately, on a lack of coverage of certain specific areas. What was there in WP:RS secondary sources, is included. Of course, it would be most appreciated if the GA Reviewer wished to also check some research database archives - I suppose it is possible I overlooked some tidbit of info from a source somewhere.
  6. Thank you for the positive comments about Referencing, Stability, Neutral presentation of the subject matter, and image usage.

Thanks very much for your time, and for doing the GA Review, -- Cirt (talk) 10:22, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Response regarding suggested source
  1. Unfortunately, that appears to be a wiki, and fails WP:RS, see history of edited versions, and "wiki" in the link itself. Probably should not use that for a source in this article, unfortunately. -- Cirt (talk) 14:36, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Done, added sect, with info about Accompaniment (I realized this satisfies WP:V, directly to the album, itself.) See diff link. Cheers, -- Cirt (talk) 12:03, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
