Why these examples?
[edit]Is there any reason for mentioning specifically these artists (besides Bing Crosby) that have performed the song? It has been covered by Roy Orbison, Hank Snow and Jerry Lee Lewis, among others, that seem to be much more important than the mentioned in the article. I will change it, but wanted to know first if there was anything I don't know about it. Nazroon 06:29, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
You can check the University of Pittsburgh's Foster collection on line. There is also the story that the "beautiful dreamer" is a corpse! Pustelnik (talk) 01:44, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Shouldn't this song's prominent place in the movie "Mighty Joe Young" be mentioned in the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.212.62.209 (talk) 10:03, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Yes, it played a pivotal role in Mighty Joe Young. It wasn't just background music. 206.117.3.2 (talk) 01:28, 26 August 2009 (UTC) Old enough to have seen the original
used as a bell??
[edit]The phrase "used as a bell in De La Salle University" in the opening sentence makes no sense to me, so I am going to remove it. If it is in fact meaningful and pertinent, please reinsert it somewhere other than in the lead paragraph, and perhaps clarify what is meant by a song being "used as a bell at a university". - The movie Distorted (2018) features this song:
- I spent nearly an hour trying to find out what song it was. I knew I knew the song & just couldn't place it. Since it's in the FAQ on Imdb, I am guessing I was not alone. I am not confident in my page editing skills, so I hope someone finds this worthy of addition.:
