Paul Morphy
[edit]This is the home Paul Morphy grew up in. I'd like to add a section about that, but am not an expert on it. The tour barely mentions him, but he is CLEARLY more famous than Keyes ever will be. A cursory Internet search will show that. Anyone expert enough to add such a section? Best wishes, Hoktiwe (talk) 15:33, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hi! Paul Morphy actually did not grow up in this house. His Grandfather owned it from 1826, selling it to John Merle on May 17, 1833. Paul Morphy was born over four years after this date.

Beauregard-Keyes House → BK Historic House and Gardens – Business has changed name. Cpfountain (talk) 18:14, 9 August 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. – robertsky (talk) 14:36, 17 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Cpfountain any sources for the name change? – robertsky (talk) 19:02, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
- https://www.bkhouse.org/ I am also the Assistant Director of the museum. Cpfountain (talk) 19:04, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Cpfountain Hmm... I will let another editor who is hopefully more US-centric to assess this. Google search is throwing out a lot more irrelevant results with the changed name. Also, thanks for the declaration that you are connected to the museuem. – robertsky (talk) 19:13, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
- Are there independant sources referring to the new name as per WP:COMMONNAME? -Kj cheetham (talk) 21:53, 9 August 2022 (UTC)

- Highly unlikely that this name is going to be the common name, especially as it's primarily notable for being on the NRHP. Looks like pure branding so needs discussion. -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:07, 10 August 2022 (UTC)

- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Kj cheetham (talk) 10:14, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose as I have stated above. -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:52, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not sure that a "common name" is relevant here. It is factually incorrect. The name of the house is BK Historic House & Gardens. Cpfountain (talk) 20:38, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
- WP:COMMONNAME is always relevant. Please see WP:OFFICIALNAME. -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:20, 16 August 2022 (UTC)

Question - is the actual building listed as or called the Beauregard-Keyes House? Would it be more accurate to say: "The Beauregard-Keyes House is a historic residence ... It is currently operated as a museum, the BK House and Gardens..."? "BK House" looks like a museum branding thing, but I could be mistaken. Fredlesaltique (talk) 14:58, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
- I think you are correct. The historic building is the Beauregard-Keyes House. It looks like "BK Historic House and Gardens" is the organization currently operating tourism/event venue there. -- Infrogmation (talk) 17:12, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. I'm a local, and "Beauregard-Keyes House" is what it the building is called. -- Infrogmation (talk) 17:12, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
I tidied the intro paragraph in the meantime (it's Wikipedia so can always fix again). @Cpfountain: is it accurate to distinguish between the museum and the historic property? Fredlesaltique (talk) 22:46, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
