Cleanup
[edit]Some cleanup per MoS:DAB. I deleted the following information because the word "Beaufort" could not be found in any of the linked articles. The description information is also too much for a disambiguation page. Please re-insert the information below if one of the linked articles actually mentions "Beaufort", and shorten the description:
The name of a small village in Blaenau Gwent, Wales, UK. It was originally attached to nearby Brynmawr and so was part of the county of Breconshire. The name Beaufort originates because the soil in the area was owned by the Duke of Beaufort. The Welsh name for Beaufort, 'Cendl (or Cendle)', survives in street names in Beaufort and Cwm (south of Ebbw Vale).
I also add the Beaufort terms with the descriptions here that I moved to the "See also" section, because I'll delete the descriptions.
- Beaufort cipher, a Polyalphabetic cipher
- Beaufort Castle, Lebanon, a Crusader castle
- Beaufort Group, geological sedimentary strata in Southern Africa
- Beaufort scale, a scale for the measurement of wind velocity
- Beaufort Sea, a sea in the Arctic
