[edit]First priority is an infobox. Pics are good but references are better. Importance can be raised by adding alumni or reffed claims to fame. Welcome Victuallers 08:45, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
John Merricks
[edit]Can someone at the College please look up the dates he was there and insert? Spathaky (talk) 11:49, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
John Deacon
[edit]I doubt if John Deacon attended Kibworth Grammar School as he was outside its catchment area, being an Oadby lad. The school moved to Oadby, becoming Oadby Beauchamp Upper School and Community College in 1964. It brought with it the students who had been at Kibworth from age 11 and they were mixed with the first intake of 14-year-olds from Gartree High School. I believe John would have been at Gartree (as stated in his WP article), probably from 1962 to 1965, and would have been at Beaucahmp (by then next door) from 1965 to 1969. Can this be checked, either by John himself or by someone at the schools? Spathaky (talk) 12:09, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
I have now made this change. Mike Spathaky (talk) 23:17, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
All upper schools are built next to secondary schools
[edit]This section is wrong. Manor high is built next to its primary school but has no nearby upper and feeds into beauchamp — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.132.101.77 (talk) 19:07, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
Your logic is in error 81.132.101.77 - "All upper schools are built next to secondary schools" does not imply that all secondary schools (or high schools) are built next to upper schools. I don't think it's true anyway (how about Robert Smyth at Mkt Harborough?) More importantly, surely this sentence is of very low interest to readers and should not be included in the lead section. I propose to delete it. Mike Spathaky (talk) 11:08, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
I have now done so. Mike Spathaky (talk) 07:16, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
Community college
[edit]"Beauchamp is also a Community College, with over 2,500 part-time students taking part in a variety of recreational, cultural and academic evening classes."
Is this true? I have seen no publicity advertising these courses for many years. Mike Spathaky (talk) 20:38, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
