Revisions

Suggested adding hyperlinks to unfamiliar terms. Recommended dividing the description section into adult, egg, and larvae subheadings. Recommend moving the section about the beetle as a disease vector as a subheading of the crop damage subheading under impact on agriculture. Include more references and correct formatting on in-text citations Hipper2305 (talk) 15:17, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Edits

[edit]

I thought the article was written really well, being organized and thorough. I added some additional links for technical terms and geographical locations for convenience and consistency. I also made some grammatical and spelling corrections. I added some subsections in addition to renaming and reorganizing some sections to conform to the topic order guidelines for beetle articles. I made references to C. trifurcata more consistent instead of alternating between the full and abbreviated names. Owen Guo (talk) 06:26, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Modifications

[edit]

The article is well-researched and neutral in tone. In-text citations are provided. I included more information in the lead section to provide a more comprehensive introduction to the discussion that are to follow. I edited the names of the paragraph headings to follow Wikipedia syntax guidelines. For example, 'Life History' was edited to 'Life history'. Secondly, I changed the heading 'Conversation' to be 'Climate change', as climate change was previously the only subparagraph.

Peer Review

[edit]

I moved the “food resources” section from the beginning of the article to later in the article because it felt out of place in the middle of the “description” and “life history” sections. I think the new location allows for better flow of information in the article. Additionally, I think it could be helpful to explain why the beetles were considered a minor pest, as mentioned in the lead section. Are they not considered a minor pest anymore, and if so, what changed? Frenchfrylvr (talk) 03:29, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
