On which islands are the Tamala limestone geological features found?

[edit]

Following on from these edits: [1][2][3][4]....

Are the "Well preserved Tamala limestone geological features" found on the Beagle Islands (the subject of the article, hence presumed in the absence of clear indication otherwise) or the Turquoise Coast islands (the group that includes the Beagles) or something else?

  • If the Beagle islands then

Well preserved Tamala limestone geological features can be found on the [Beagle] islands, with supra-tidal hard coral fossils being found on the Beagle Islands

contains duplication, hence my change to the shorter but logically equivalent:

Well preserved Tamala limestone geological features can be found on the [Beagle] islands, as can supra-tidal hard coral fossils

If the Tamala limestone features are found on islands other than the Beagle Islands, the article should say so explicitly.

Perhaps we need a Turquoise Coast islands nature reserve group article - into which most or all of Beagle Islands (Western Australia)#Geology, Escape Island#Geology, Lancelin Island#Origin and history (and perhaps others) could be moved. Mitch Ames (talk) 13:21, 8 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
