Was it 2 million or 1 million? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.101.214.147 (talk) 14:05, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
Trivia

==Trivia==
On the show Martin, the character Jerome (played by Martin Lawrence) references a line from the song when asked how would he change the world during the "Player of the Year" contest. He responds that everyone would have a Cadillac 17-feet long "with a diamond in the back, sunroof top, diggin' the scene with the gangsta lean." The audience responded with the "whoo-hoo" at the end.
Covers, etc
[edit]Till a few minutes ago, the article on DeVaughn said that
- In 1975, Love released a cover version of "Be Thankful for What You Got" on their Reel to Real album.
- In 1991, Massive Attack released a cover version of "Be Thankful for What You Got" on their debut album, Blue Lines.
- In 2004, DeVaughn released a new single, "I Came Back", on his own Mighty Two Diamond Records.
- In that same year, rapper Ludacris sampled "Be Thankful for What You Got" for "Diamond in the Back" on his album Chicken and Beer. It uses DeVaughn's beat and his voice is used throughout the chorus as the instrumental was made by [[DJ Paul and Juicy J from Three 6 Mafia
Uh-oh, the third of these should have stayed. I'll reinstate it very soon. The second is already covered in this article. The first and fourth might be worth mentioning in this article if they can be sourced. -- Hoary (talk) 09:33, 16 January 2010 (UTC)

Song Title
[edit]Title is slightly off Title is called Be Thankful For What You've Got, not What You Got.... Maverick929 (talk) 07:45, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
You'll need to provide reliable sources, given that you're arguing against the album itself, and to keep your hands off the file names and other wiki markup. (And in the song, he clearly says "you" every time.) - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 23:48, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
