Notability
[edit]Let me make it clear that I am not trying to question the impartiality of senior editors, I did not question couple of previous edits or deletions at all, but since I've spent quite some time on creating these articles, I think I m justified to object. I’ve no personal issues with the deletion of this article, but I don't see how this article differs from the majority of the articles listed under “online companies” or “companies based in Dubai” categories?
Issues with this article include "Sources that appear in third party publications". Ameinfo.com, propertyportalwatch.com, zawya.com, aren’t they all third party publications? There’s hardly any source more credible than ameinfo.com when it comes to information regarding Gulf … since I m focusing more on Dubai and UAE related topics, I m bound to use references of this origin.
I’ve taken care of the writing style, even though the article narrates merely the services without any kind of exaggeration. An article about a company is supposed to put company’s history and services in writing and that’s all what the article does. However, I’ve removed the awards section.
Coming to the notability issue … let’s see what Wikipedia guidelines state as to which topic can be considered notable …
“If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to satisfy the inclusion criteria for a stand-alone article.”
Now, news about Bayut launch, awards and services have been covered in independent publishing resources at many instances; some of them can be seen in the reference section. It’s easily the biggest property portal/database in Dubai (though the article doesn’t claim that) … If zawya.com or ameinfo.com are not credible sources than what do you deem as reliable third party publications?
