Bayou Bend

I found this map, originally printed in the Houston Chronicle, portraying the boundaries of the ROPO: http://cdn-530.homes.com/c1/cgi-bin/readimage/107727530

Does Bayou Bend exist on both sides of the Buffalo Bayou, or does it only exist on the north side?

As for the "Homewood" area, is it covered by the ROPO? WhisperToMe (talk) 16:34, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Bayou Bend is located on the south side of Buffalo Bayou, just east of River Oaks Country Club at 2940 Lazy Lane. The 1 Westcott address is actually the address of the parking lot and musuem entrance on the north west edge of the grounds, constructed after the home became a museum. The parking lot is on the north bank of Buffalo Bayou and is not in River Oaks. When you visit Bayou Bend, you must walk over a bridge crossing Buffalo Bayou to get to the grounds. The original Lazy Lane entrance is blocked so that visitors cannot enter there. Check out Google Maps to get a better view of this. Here's a link for the address [1]. Homewood is one of the original sections of River Oaks so I would think it would be covered by ROPO. Postoak (talk) 20:26, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
