Questions about maintenance templates
[edit]This is in response to the tags applied to BAYADA Home Health Care.
Notability: BAYADA is one of largest home health care companies in the United States, with 250 offices and over 18,000 workers. The company has been around for over 35 years, is recognized as a leader in the field with the awards to show for it, and continues to grow through ongoing acquisitions. The company is notable.
Orphan: This is a new entry, but I did just add a link from the Home Care page.
Primary Sources: I added some more references to additional third party sources, including the Wall Street Journal.

- Hi Tim! I spent some time copy editing and expanding the article, while addressing the specific maintenance templates that were applied. Notability on Wikipedia actually differentiates from the generally understood meaning of the word. When we consider notability for organizations such as BAYADA Home Health Care, we refer to the notability guidelines presented at Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). In essence, in order to establish notability, the article requires significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. While the details of the organization that you provide indicate credible importance and/or significance of the organization enough to bypass deletion of the article in accordance with the A7 criteria for speedy deletion, unfortunately, it doesn't establish notability of the organization in accordance with Wikipedia guidelines. During my review of the article, I've removed content that copied material from a source protected by copyright. I've also removed self-published sources, which were used as citations. These sources included press releases or self-published sources masquerading as independent articles. Finally, I've added some incoming wikilinks, content, and citations. The expansion of reliable and independent sources establishes notability of the organization. If you have any questions now or in the future, please feel free to drop me a line. I am more than happy to help. Best regards, Cindy(talk) 05:06, 5 September 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for digging up a few more sources and for helping me better understand how to do the citation editing. Timtempleton (talk) 20:59, 5 September 2013 (UTC)

Adding a Partners Tab
[edit]Hello everyone,
My name is Ken. I work at BAYADA Home Health Care as an Associate in the Digital Marketing office. I wanted to announce my COI openly here before anything else is read. My goal here is to provide the encyclopedic information that is missing from this page and to update the layout so relevant aspects of the business are listed on the page. I am open to hearing any advice on my suggested updates, as well as tips for requesting edits in the future.
Thank you for your time, and have a great day!

Information to be added or removed: I would like to add a section called “Partners” in the contents directly under “Honors, accreditations and awards” Partners Sep 2015 - Partnered with Logitech & Zoom to improve collaboration between offices across the country [1] May 2016 - Partnered with Cape Regional Home Health Care in a Joint Venture [2] Feb 2017 - Partnered with AlayaCare to empower caregivers with innovative technology to simplify workflows. [3] May 2017 - Partnered with Swift Shift, a leading mobile home health workforce optimization technology platform [4] Sep 2018 - Participated in the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation’s (CMS Innovation Center) Medicare Care Choice Model (MCCM) demo project [5]
Explanation of issue: We do not have a section on our page to discuss the partners we work with. It is important for us to have this on our page so people can get the full picture of how our company operates and who we work with to get the job done.

I am open to hearing any suggestions, as this is my first attempt at adding content via the talk page. Ken At BAYADA (talk) 19:48, 19 March 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Edit request declined The Bayada article already contains an Awards section with many non-notable awards mentioned and a Philanthropy section which is almost entirely unreferenced. The addition of the Partners section would make this a trio of questionable sections. The reasons for these partnerships are given such phrasings as "to improve collaboration" and to "joint venture", both of which are merely synonyms for the word partnership, a further description which was as unnecessary as it was non-illuminating. These would not benefit the article. Partnerships in general is a section which should be avoided if routine, as this type of information does not expand knowledge of the core subject. If a partnership is fundamental to the company and its actions then the partnership should (for example) be detailed enough for the reader to come away with a better understanding of the how, where and why the partnership occurred and how the company is better for it than without it, a claim that if made, should be stated in Wikipedia's voice as having originated from the company itself and not by any authority (i.e., "As it shed its 'baby bell' status, SBC publically stated that its purpose in partnering with the AT&T division it purchased was so the identification of it with its former Ma Bell were cemented in the minds of its customers."[1]) Regards, Spintendo 21:21, 19 March 2019 (UTC)

[edit]- The information that I have is that these awards are not independently notable in Wikipedia. For an award to be mentioned, the award itself should have its own Wikipedia page demonstrating its notability. Otherwise, any such award could be claimed and placed in an article without challenge.
