Ole Hobek's life prior to release from prison
[edit]"Little is known about Hobek's life prior to his release from prison, where he is believed to have met Ben (Kilpatrick)." So, maybe I can help. His full name - according to My Heritage - should be Ole Halvorsen Hobek. It says he is born in 1834, which I find hard to believe, since that would make him 78 y.o. at the time of the Baxter's Curve robbery, however, the Ole Halvorsen Hobek that My Heritage is mentioning could be his father, which (if correct) would mean that Ole was born in the late 1850's which again would make Ole "the robber" in his early to mid 50's in 1912. A much better fit. Either way, Ole Hobek is a Scandinavian name and a person with that name should have some ties to either Denmark or Norway. It seems reasonable, I think, that Ole's lack of history in Anerican annals is grounded in his (possible?) previous life in one of these northern European countries. 62.107.173.13 (talk) 20:43, 10 September 2023 (UTC)
