Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (your reason here) --Geewhiz (talk) 09:36, 29 November 2017 (UTC) This band is an important one in the history of Israeli music and served as a stepping stone in the careers of many famous Israeli musicians and actors.--Geewhiz (talk) 09:36, 29 November 2017 (UTC)
- There's an earlier version of this article at Green Onion (band) from which a lot of this one is clearly copied, so if it is deleted then that needs to be deleted too - and if deletion is declined, the two need to be merged to retain the revision history of the earlier one. (
I offer no opinion on the deletion question.) Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 11:00, 29 November 2017 (UTC)
- Maybe I messed things up. I tried to get rid of the "redirect" to that article using an English name instead of the real name of the troupe, and asked for it to be speedily deleted to make room for this one.--Geewhiz (talk) 11:04, 29 November 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, I declined that for now. But as the (scant) sources refer to the band as "Batzal Yarok (Green Onion)" then I think Batzal Yarok is probably the correct title. I've declined both speedy deletion requests and will merge the two under this title. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 11:06, 29 November 2017 (UTC)

- I've merged the two articles to this title and have redirected Green Onion (band) to here. If anyone thinks the title should be changed, please start a Wikipedia:Requested moves discussion here. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 11:16, 29 November 2017 (UTC)
